VERNADO LIQUID MAIZE/CORN FERTILISER

Vernado Liquid In-Furrow and Foliar fertilisers and trace elements to grow better Maize/Corn

‘Just because a soil test may say there is plenty of nitrogen, potassium or phosphorus for optimum production, that does not mean it is all available throughout the growing season.’

In furrow 10-18-5 liquid fert option for optimum placement and availability of nutrients for early root establishment and potential higher yields.

After male inflorescence the plants nutrient uptake from the leaf and soil is reduced to a minimum, the plants use the feed given between the 7-9 to 12-14 leaf stage, therefore it is important to ensure there is a good supply of N P K S and other vital elements during this critical growth stage.

Liquid foliar fertilizer is a great option to apply with the 360 YDrops system, or spray over the foliage it gives you applications you can adjust rates to match the crop’s needs during the growing season, protecting yield potential and reducing overall nitrogen costs.

Both UAN32 and Urea solution are great base Liquid foliar N options for crops, add potassium, phosphorus and other trace elements and biological products like TM as and when required, they can be applied in-furrow, side-dress, beside the row, foliar, and through irrigation.

Watch the video to hear from David about how our Liquid N benefits his bottom line. David used Liquid N with trace elements and biological products custom made to his crops requirements and got a satisfied yield result with greater than 20% reduction in synthetic N.

Nitrogen N availability is one of the key factors contributing to a successful crop. A lack of nitrogen N availability is a common contributor to a poor maize crop, it is also one of the most expensive inputs, so getting the most efficiency out of this investment is critical.

Phosphate P helps particularly with root growth any shortage especially in the early development stages can hold back root development and stem nutrient uptake, which can have flow-on effects on the crop for the whole season.

Potassium K helps crops regulate water content, convert sugar to starch, cob filling and maintain plant tissue rigidity. Adequate potassium supply can help make crops less susceptible to pests and fungal attacks.

*In order to supply plants with an adequate dose of liquid N P K S and other vital elements, repeated sprays maybe required, Increasing spray concentration to save on applications may result in leaf-burn. We would recommend herbage or SAP testing to ensure the correct rates and products required are being applied.

*Spray volume should be determined according to local requirements and conditions, if unsure always do a test trial ahead of time to determine the outcome.

*Application should be avoided during hot and dry days, if application is required during hot and dry climate apply later in the evenings.
