Vernado’s Liquid N can be stored at ambient temperatures for an extended period of time, provided it has not been mixed with other products, If the temperature drops below 7 °C for more than 5 days it may be necessary to agitate the solution if storage is in small containers or pipes, bulk storage should withstand longer times.

Take care when using Vernado’s Liquid N on biuret-sensitive crops, take care if mixing with some fungicides, metal salts such as copper sulphate and manganese sulphate, always do a test first and don’t store mixed products.

Vernado has been manufacturing liquid N20.7 fertiliser since 2009 Servicing the greater Manawatu lower north island, it is the most common of the fertilizer range we produce, the plant can manufacture up to 75,000L per day, despatch is through a flow meter into either of our tanker units or directly into our client’s sprayer, tanker or 1000L IBC’s. Our delivery trucks 10,000L and truck and trailer units have 22,000L and 25,000L capacities to deliver the product from our yard to on farm storage tanks or direct live unload to ground or aerial spray units. Delivery rates are charged on the distance travelled, live unloading is charged at an hourly rate. Vernado liquid N is dissolved Urea at 20.7% nitrogen, we can also add dissolved ammonium sulphate on request.

We have been using Vernado liquid N fertiliser for four years on our 250Ha Dairy farm.  We are a predominantly grassed based system and split calving.  The ability to grow grass is hugely important to our closed operation. Our farm is located in the Manawatu and the soil type is generally clay based or Ohakea loam. Because of our heavier soils we use helicopters for the application of the liquid N and we find that this is very effective straight after winter when there is generally more moisture in the farm soils. We are able to hit 200ha of the farm in a single application and set it up for Spring.  We can literally see the grass growing as soon as the weather warms up and the pastures had a kickstart from our liquid N. The team at Vernado are very effective at delivering the liquid N on farm to our 25,000L tank and is filled and ready to go for the contractors to apply when the weather conditions are suitable.  Ease of application and being able to apply fertiliser to the majority of the farm in a few hours is a real advantage and saves a lot of time and money in the long run.  There is also the advantage of adding other liquids to the 'mix' if required such as TM.

Since we have been using the Vernado liquid N fertiliser we have also seen the environmental advantages of its use by reducing our N Loss over a four-year period.

Vernado liquid N is an essential part of our family winter milking dairy farm’s operation using an all grass sustainable system.

Thanks to Vernado liquid N we have been able to grow out-of-season grass using lower rates of nitrogen compared to solid nitrogen applications.

We believe we are getting a very quick response and like the fact that the liquid system allows us to add growth promoters and soil conditioners.

This system is environmentally friendly with the boom spraying system keeping nitrogen away from waterways while the foliar application provides quick uptake.
